Latest restaurant openings
Alba, London
Alba restaurant aims to bring a taste of Amalfi
to Knightsbridge, right opposite Harrods. In
charge of getting that across with the look
of the restaurant is architecture and design
studio, Yodezeen, who will be filling the space
with real citrus trees. We also like the idea that
the furniture is coming from a company that
specialises in yacht design. As for the menu,
the focus will be on the south coast of Italy.
Carbone, Dubai
The iconic (and sort of infamous) New York
Italian restaurant is coming to Dubai next year.
First opening over a decade ago in Manhattan,
the restaurant serves up classic dishes such
as veal parmesan to the linguine vongole.
Picking up an impressive reputation in the US
with celebs and the public alike since its initial
launch, CARBONE has hosted everyone from
Rihanna to Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber and
Drake over the years.
Frou Frou, Dubai
Frou Frou Dubai aims to bring the glamour of
early 20th-century Paris to the city. This is the
third venue under the Frou Frou brand, with
another opening planned in Marbella, Spain.
The restaurant, led by chef Leonid Ivanov,
offers a modern take on French classics.
Mr Porter Steakhouse, London
Mr Porter is a “modern steakhouse” that
originates from Amsterdam from the Entourage
Group and is opening in the Park Lane Hilton.
Located at 22 Park Lane in the previous Trader
Vic site, the flirty, ambiguous and tasteful
cuisine of MR PORTER translates into pure
yet intricate dishes. Breaking the rules of fine
dining, while offering top culinary experience.
