With an ever-changing roster of exciting restaurants, there is always a delicious new menu to sample in the capital. We explore the most recent venue openings and the restaurants to look forward to visiting in the new year.

Nobu, Portman Square, Marylebone

Recently opened, the new location for this Japanese restaurant at Nobu Hotel offers a diverse celebration of flavours. The menu features signature dishes inspired by Nobu Matsuhisa’s time in Tokyo such as rock shrimp tempura and miso black cod, as well as locally-inspired recipes.

Hideaway, Mount Street, Mayfair, Early 2021

Ollie Dabbous’ Hideaway, the pop-up cafe accompaniment to main restaurant Hide, has found a permanent location on Mount Street. The Parisian-style venue will offer pastries to morning visitors and oysters, lobster rolls and salads later in the day.

Il Borro, Berkeley Street, Mayfair, 2021

Berkeley Street’s Nobu will be replaced by a high-end Italian restaurant which hopes to bring a taste of Tuscany to this world-class restaurant destination. With produce sourced from the 1,100-hectare Il Borro estate in Tuscany, this new eatery will serve authentic Italian dishes.

Nusr-Et Steakhouse, Park Tower, Knightsbridge, 2021

With locations in Dubai, Istanbul, Miami and New York, Turkish restaurateur Nusret Gökçe brings his steakhouse to the UK for the first time. Meat-loving Londoners can expect a delicious selection of steaks, beef fillet, lamb and meatballs with a signature Turkish style, along with desserts such as sobiyet and baklava.

H.O.M.E, Pollen Street, Mayfair, 2021

Pollen Street Social’s Jason Atherton is planning an intimate sixteen-seat restaurant with a creative set menu inspired by his travels. The venue will see guests purchasing single tickets rather than booking the entire space to ensure that the food and the restaurant experience are the main focus.
