Shanghai Me – London
A new pan-Asian concept recently opened in the space formerly occupied by the famous Galvin at Windows restaurant within Hilton’s Park Lane flagship. Dubai’s luxury Fundamental Hospitality group is behind the new opening, which is located on the hotel’s 28th floor and will offer existing favourites including a dim sum ‘library’, wagyu kushiyaki and miso cod. Shanghai Me is boasting 1930s Shanghai-inspired interiors by renowned designer Richard Saunders and the restaurant will be complemented by the brand’s lounge concept, Bund.
Em Sherif Sea Café – Riyadh
Located in Leysan Valley, Em Sherif Cafépresents authentic Lebanese delicacies in a new light. All ingredients are carefully selected with a personal touch, from fresh produce to succulent meats, to surprise and delight guests with innovative dishes. The menu features an extensive selection of seafood as well as cold and hot mezze, with signatures including the famous fresh Lebanese Tabbouleh in three equally delectable variations, a classic creamy hummus topped with roasted pine nuts. Em Sherif Sea Café is already present in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, and Doha.
Mirabelle – Dubai
A Mediterranean brasserie from the South of France with an appreciation of the finer things in life. Mirabelle is an unapologetic celebration of hardcore French cuisine plated with a contemporary touch, slotted into the tail-end of Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab’s gleaming spine. From garlicky Burgundy snails and lobster bisque to home-made foie gras served with sticky Mirabelle plums, chef Sacha Enjalbert’s devotion to French cooking bible Larousse Gastronomique is clear. Despite the tradition of the menu, the setting is strikingly modern.
Lex Yard – New York
The restaurant in the revamped Waldorf Astoria will come from Gramercy Tavern chef Michael Anthony Lex Yard derives from its Lexington Avenue location and the underground train depot, Track 61, below the hotel (though it’s not accessible to visitors). Anthony isn’t leaving Gramercy Tavern, but he’ll be wearing two hats. The new restaurant will feature an American menu of seasonal dishes and reinterpreted classics,” he says. There will be an a la carte menu as well as a five-course seasonal option across two stories.
